In the meantime while not working on the cosplay (cause we do that only while meeting up which usually happens once a week) we do enjoy to draw. There was this idea of making an art-trade/collaboration and drawing an epic battle between Kain and Raziel. Because I wasn’t sure about the pose I’ve tried to do a couple of concepts, but found them astonishingly boring and plain. I should also consider using references sometimes. The Janos in the corner was drawn by K! ♥
This is us making acquaintance with plaster. It was ridiculously fun to do, but because it was our first attempt at it, we ended up screwing a few things up. Using oil on the bandages was pretty much a shit-head idea and using tea if you don’t have any water near by is also something one would want to avoid, unless you’re OK with your cast turning brownish yellow after a while.
Next attempt will be plaster bandage and making a latex cast. Wonder if we’ll ever get to the clothe making with this pace.
So this are the claws with another layer of paper and with the wires taken out from inside. We decided that this technique was a good one, but not good enough. We might use it again, as for now we decided to something else - plaster, here we go!
So. We’re a bunch of friends who fuelled by a constantly returning Legacy of Kain hype, randomly decided that it would be freaking mind blowing to make a kick-ass LoK cosplay. We want to make Fallen Raziel, Old Kain and Janos - might as well take us a year or two. This tumblr was created solemnly for the purpose of making a work in progress archive - let’s get cracking ♥
